Beyonce has left “A Star Is Born”

It was the dream pairing. That was not meant to be.

Fans will be severely disappointed to discover that Beyonce Knowles one of the most influential female music artists of today has decided to leave the remake of “A Star Is Born”. Which is to be directed by the legendary Clint Eastwood.

The production came to a startling halt as Beyonce dropped out of the project. Rumour’s speculated the reason of her departure was the wanting to spend time with her new baby Blue Ivy. However the singer known has stated the true reason is simply because she and Eastwood could never synchronize and fit the time in to work together. This was due to their other clashing commitments. Beyonce stated: “For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together.”

The question now on everyone’s lips is who will replace the once perfect cast decision? Beyonce was an inspiring choice. She was also akin to past actresses’ who also played the naive young girl who is whisked of to become a star by the ageing, debonair mentor Norman Maine. “A Star Is Born” has been remade three times, each one evolving and fitting today’s showbiz society. Beyonce shared many qualities as Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand who both played the part. All women are highly influential singers of their time and furthermore they equal in incredible vocal and supreme acting talent.  Actresses chosen also illustrate the portrayal of woman, marking their time. The first was actress to play the role Janet Gaynor was one of the few female actresses who had success in the transition from silent to talkie film. The role was then passed to the most significant women of their time – Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand. If Beyonce were chosen for the motion picture she would have been the first African American. It would have been a casting choice that would have truly illustrated transformation in the power of women within our society.

Thus, who will take over the iconic romantic comedy role is unknown. Rumour has it Eastwood is highly interested in jazz musician Esperana Spalding. Fans are left to wait and ponder on his decision. If Spalding is chosen many believe a star will be born.
