No Shave November

Very popular, regarding to Twitter, although not many people I know (most of which don’t tweet) have heard of this campaign, which leads to assumption that it has been developed in social media websites.

This is what a social campaign should be like – very simple to perceive and execute. Men, who agree that the health of their Parts is important not to forget about, grow a beard – the next most masculine attribute of theirs. To my taste it sounds like a beautiful November, when men look natural and are not afraid of showing how they care about their health. But what makes the other part of this article is the notion of men privatising the No Shave November.

When clicking on the relevant link in twitter, the top tweet appearing is ‘No Shave November is for men not women’, which made me laugh so much!

At first it was the thought of a lady with black-haired legs (or armpits), which was amusing and then the thought of guys doing anything and tweeting Everywhere just to save themselves (!) from such sight. As if ladies would be waiting for a campaign like this just to finally sigh of relief, throw razors out of the window and go au naturel. Being a big fan of the term, the meaning of which is ‘nude’ and at the same time quite neutral and understanding of the feminism movements, it needs to be said, that in society like this there is NO need for concern for gentlemen.

So, Boys, embrace your manliness and make this November even heartier than it is in this amazingly beautiful day!

  2. cool, and tell your friends to!
Or at least smile proudly when they make Jesus jokes at you by the end of the month….anyway, good luck!

  3. Movemeber is brilliant. Even more when you see the guys who are failing to grow a beard. And it’s all for a good cause:)

  4. The most facial hair I get is bum fluff to be honest. Nippy. So it will be interesting to see what actually happens, or if I actually keep it up!

  5. I’ve a small team rounded up to do this together, made on the official uk.movember.com website. Team Excellent is the name, everyone welcome to join and everyone welcome to donate! Nine days in and I can actually see some sort of fuzz on my upper lip! SUCCESSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    • Awesome! My colleague announced that he’s doing it too, so I immediately donated a pound. An hour later he gave it back to me, saying: ‘I can’t do it – too itchy!’ I didn’t take the pound back, because he should stick to the promise. Hasn’t shaved yet. 🙂
So actually we should support men involved and remind them the great cause they’re doing it for.
      Hold on!
