Visited by thousands of people everyday, Perez Hilton is incredibly useful for accessing the very latest celebrity gossip.Whilst the public view it to keep up to date with the celebs around the world, journalists, especially gossip magazines tend to use it to find hard hitting stories that they can either bulid on or report themselves. Perez Hiltons close relationship with the celebrities makes this site alot more credible but its better to be safe than sorry and check  everything he blogs.

He has also been known to release ground breaking news on his blog, which the banks suffered from due to a large amount of the public reading his blog. Conservative Home

Another blog dedicated to British politics except focuses on the right wing news and views. It began prior to the 2005 general election, made by Tim Montgomery, it aims to represnt the conservative opinion throughout the UK. This blogs holds many similarties to leftfootforward.org except from the obvious, its an enitrely different view in terms of the political spectrum, but if your looking for news or public opinion from a conservative point of view then its perfect.

Caught offside

An incredibly useful site for reports on breaking football news. Whether you are after the latest scores, news of transfers its an ideal source for everything. As well as being a superly up to date blog, it is regularly credited in football articles as a source for their story making it an  to excellent source for sports journalists to make use of.

digg.com

Although Digg is not a blog it proves to be a very useful tool for journalists to use. It has thousands of blogs posted on the site everyday for anybody to read, rate and comment showing journalists what stories and issues are trending with the public. You can also see blogs that are popular and there is such a wide variety of blogs posted you can find almost anything. The only thing to beware of is that you are not taking all of the blogs as absolute truth.

A magazine which runs an on-line site as well featuring a variety of blogs. The blogs range from different genres such as pop and metal, and cover festivals, bands, albums and films. With so many blogs you are spoilt for choice.

ARRSE

The Army Rumour Service is a blog written by British soldiers that are either fighting or resting at home. It was made to create useful, informative and amusing insight into the army with over 5 million views per month and being quoted by mainstream news and national press its a great site for anything and everything to do with the British army.
